We love going to Guatemala and connecting with House of Refuge Street Ministries in Chiquimulilla, Guatemala, founded by Steven & Karla Stoffelsen. This ministry serves hot meals and gives bags of groceries weekly to families in need and so much more. They preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at every event. That is why we love this ministry so much. We like to sow our time and resources into such good soil. This picture is after service and bags of groceries have been handed out. Praise the Lord!
We brought a team from Canada that joined volunteers from Guatemala churches and the staff of House of Refuge to serve many people where there was need. In addition to food, we hosted a breakfast for Friends Of Jesus from the bar district.
We had so much fun participating in children’s programs in schools and neighbourhoods!
The Gospel of Jesus is preached in their services and confirmation of His healing power flowed mightily.
In Guatemala we had opportunities to go house to house praying for people who were unable to come to a service and receive their healing. This was a family of Pastors who had been battling sickness. God healed them and they were able to attend church the very next Sunday morning. Praise goes to the Lord in Whose Name we prayed. His name is Jesus!
